Fifth Annual Symposium on Access to Health Care

Reinventing Medicaid in a Post-Health Reform America

Friday, November 4, 2011

Location:

Loyola University Chicago School of Law
Corboy Law Center
25 E. Pearson Street, 10th Floor
Chicago, Illinois 60611

The Fifth Annual Symposium will explore the challenges and opportunities for Medicaid in a post- health reform America. The day will begin with an overview of the current Medicaid program and several discussions about the tension between the national government and states regarding Medicaid.

Attendees will then hear from a panel of state level Medicaid professionals who will provide unique insights into current Medicaid proposals from across the nation. Finally, the end of the day will address Medicaid reform from a patient perspective as well as a provider vantage point. By bringing together experts from multiple disciplines, we believe that this event will generate significant insights about the multitude of issues currently surrounding Medicaid.
